Experience & Activities

Adetomilola Victoria Fafure holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria, and I am currently completing my Ph.D. in Materials Science at Kenyatta University, Nairobi, Kenya. My expertise covers Material Science, Corrosion Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Composite Materials, and Steel characterisation. She has demonstrated exceptional academic merits, securing prestigious scholarships including the Partnership for Skills in Applied Sciences, Engineering and Technology-Regional Scholarship and Innovation Fund (PASET-RSIF), and the African Materials Science and Engineering Network (AMSEN) scholarship. Some of my contributions have also earned me an award and a Fellowship in both Nigeria and the United Kingdom (UK).
In my capacity as a researcher, I have had the privilege of collaborating and co-authoring some internationally published papers/journals and research with a core interest in metallic compositions, Corrosion and Wear Behaviour of Steel chips, Corrosion inhibition and adsorption characteristics of Tridax Procumbens, Advances in Silicon-Carbon Composites Anodes Derived from Agro wastes for Applications in Lithium-ion battery, Integration of renewable energy in industrial operations, and Sustainable cooling solutions for electronics: A comprehensive review: Investigating the latest techniques and materials, their effectiveness in mechanical applications, and associated environmental benefits. Collectively, these publications, leading to over 320 citations, and an h-index of 8 which emphasize the impact of our collaborative research efforts in pushing the boundaries of science and engineering for sustainable future advancements.
