ABIDOYE Ibukun Anuoluwa

Dr. Abidoye Ibukun Anuoluwa is a Consultant Radiologist with advanced subspecialty training in cardiothoracic and cardiovascular imaging. He is currently undertaking a Cardiothoracic Imaging Fellowship at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, University of Toronto, a leading tertiary referral centre for complex cardiac and thoracic disease. He holds the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR), is a Fellow of the Medical College of Radiology (FMCR) and a Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons (FWACS), and is GMC-registered. He is also an European School of Radiology (ESOR) Scholar, reflecting his strong academic and research orientation.

Dr. Abidoye’s clinical and academic interests focus on cardiac CT and MRI, congenital and acquired heart disease, pulmonary vascular imaging, and advanced thoracic imaging. He has particular expertise in cardiovascular MRI, including ventricular function assessment, flow quantification, and tissue characterisation, and a growing interest in the application of artificial intelligence in cardiothoracic imaging. He is actively involved in multidisciplinary team meetings, resident teaching, and research, with peer-reviewed publications and international presentations.

Prior to his current fellowship, Dr. Abidoye served as Senior Consultant Radiologist and Head of Department at a leading diagnostic centre in Nigeria, where he contributed to service development, quality assurance, and postgraduate training. He is passionate about medical education, mentorship, and capacity building, and is committed to advancing high-quality imaging to improve patient outcomes across diverse healthcare settings.
