Aniebonam Sabastine Obum is a postgraduate researcher with a strong academic foundation in Agricultural Economics and Environmental Science. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics from Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry, Vietnam, where he is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Environmental Science. His research interests lie in the intersection of environmental sustainability, climate adaptation, and food security, with a particular focus on soil and water systems.

His current Master’s research investigates the use of waste-based layered wall structures as an innovative approach to flood control in Anambra State, Nigeria. This work aims to provide cost-effective, environmentally sustainable solutions to the increasing challenges posed by climate change and recurrent flooding in vulnerable communities. By integrating waste management with disaster risk reduction, the research contributes to broader global discussions on sustainability and climate resilience.

Beyond his primary research, Sabastine is actively engaged in scholarly writing and collaborative projects addressing pollution management, sustainable agriculture, and environmental policy. He has also gained valuable experience as a teaching assistant, supporting academic instruction and mentoring undergraduate students in environmental science courses.

Sabastine aspires to advance his academic career through high-quality research and international collaboration, with the goal of contributing evidence-based strategies to strengthen environmental resilience and ensure sustainable agricultural development.
