Dr. Nelyn Akunna Okoye is a distinguished medical doctor and public health advocate whose work intersects clinical medicine, mental health recovery, substance use disorder treatment, and equitable access to healthcare. Since May 2024, Dr. Okoye has served as the Clinical Director and now a Regional Manager at Hilton Clinic, CareOne Digital Hospitals in Rivers State, Nigeria, where she spearheads integrated mental health and substance use disorder care. She has implemented community-driven and telehealth-enabled programs that have expanded access to mental health services among rural and marginalized populations by over 60%.
