Dr. Oladipo Oladiti Olaniyi

Dr. Oladipo Oladiti Olaniyi is an accomplished microbiologist and research fellow with extensive experience in academic research, teaching, and mentorship. He holds a B.Sc. in Microbiology from the University of Ilorin, and both M.Tech. and Ph.D. degrees in Food Microbiology from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria. He completed his postdoctoral training at the Institute of Urban Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Xiamen, China.

Dr. Olaniyi has made significant contributions to microbial food innovation, antimicrobial activity of lactic acid bacteria, aflatoxin B1 detoxification, and the biotechnological applications of microbial enzymes. His work has enhanced food safety, functional food development, and sustainable bioprocessing solutions. He has authored over 70 peer-reviewed publications and has supervised numerous postgraduate students, many of whom have received prestigious international scholarships.

His achievements include the CAS-TWAS Ph.D. Fellowship, a CAS PIFI Postdoctoral Fellowship (with a Certificate of Excellence), and the highly competitive EU Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship, where he earned an exceptional performance score of 98.8%, placing him among the top applicants selected for funding.

Dr. Olaniyi currently serves as a Research Fellow at the Swammerdam Institute for Life Sciences, University of Amsterdam, and acts as a reviewer for several international journals. He also contributes to nationally funded research initiatives. His career reflects a commitment to excellence, innovation, and global scientific collaboration in microbiology and biotechnology.
